Our state-of-the-art synthetic ice surface and off-ice training areas provide a complete development environment for hockey players of all levels. We offer private instruction, team sessions, dryland training, summer camps, and more - all designed to develop well-rounded, skilled athletes.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced On-Ice Hockey Instructor to join our team. This role is ideal for a former high-level player who has a strong understanding of the game and is excited to teach and inspire the next generation of athletes. You will be responsible for leading on-ice training sessions, demonstrating advanced skills, and contributing to the continued growth of our athletes and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead private and group on-ice training sessions focusing on skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting.
Break down and teach technical skills in both skating and puck control.
Analyze and evaluate individual and team performances, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
Plan, develop, and implement effective training programs tailored to various skill levels.
Participate in seasonal day camps, team development sessions, and off-ice training support.
Foster a welcoming, positive, and professional environment for all clients.
Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a high standard of instruction and facility experience.
Maintain professional conduct and be a role model for young athletes.
Qualifications & Skills:
High-level hockey experience.
Demonstrated excellence in core hockey skills: skating, shooting, stickhandling, and passing.
Ability to clearly explain and demonstrate technical elements of the game.
Comfortable working with players of all ages and skill levels.
Experience coaching Junior or Pro athletes is considered an asset.
Strong communication, public speaking, and leadership skills.
Team player with a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
Physically capable of actively participating in on-ice drills and demonstrations.
Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and summer camps.
First Aid & CPR certification required.
